Why TPI?
Golf has played a large role in Dr. Saunders life. Because of this, Dr. Saunders has encountered many people whom suffer from pain during a round of golf as well as following their round. For this reason, Dr. Saunders wanted to gain a better understanding of how he could help people with this problem. Following graduation from Palmer College in June of 2018, Dr. Saunders attained his certification through the highly acclaimed Titleist Performance Institute to further his knowledge of golf related injuries.
Evaluation:
This program begins with a very detailed evaluation which includes a very detailed history, orthopedic testing, TPI level 1 screen and finishes the evaluation with a detailed slow motion video of your golf swing.
Results / Treatment plan:
After completion of the evaluation, Dr. Saunders will review the results and piece together the treatment plan that is best suited for your complaints / condition of which he goes over in detail with you during your second visit. Every golfer is different, some may require smaller or less intense treatment plans, some may require a more intense treatment plan, there are even occasions where Dr. Saunders identifies that your pain / discomfort might just be related to the clubs or equipment that you are using and refer you to the right professional.
Treatments:
The most common question in regards to golf rehabilitation is what do treatments consist of ? Throughout your rehab program there are many different techniques, methods, or therapies that may be used. An example of some of the more common ones include, stretches, strengthening exercises, manual therapies including, chiropractic adjustments, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, and other various forms of myofascial release.
